NielsenIQ (NIQ) has completed the acquisition of Flywheel’s China and Southeast Asia eCommerce Data & Insights business, expanding its digital commerce intelligence capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region.
The acquired business, which operates under the YiMian (“一面”) brand in China, is a leading provider of eCommerce, social commerce, and digital shelf analytics. The acquisition strengthens NIQ’s ability to deliver a comprehensive view of consumer behavior across retail, eCommerce, social commerce, and digital channels as part of its The Full View™ consumer intelligence platform.
By combining NIQ’s global retail measurement and analytics capabilities with Flywheel’s digital commerce expertise, the company aims to provide brands and retailers with deeper insights into marketplace performance, pricing, product assortment, availability, content quality, and competitive positioning across online channels.
The acquisition also expands NIQ’s data assets, enabling the development of more advanced analytics and AI-powered consumer intelligence solutions. A key addition is the introduction of Digital Shelf capabilities in China, allowing NIQ to offer more consistent eCommerce measurement across both regional and global markets.
“Flywheel brings deep expertise in digital commerce, social commerce, and digital shelf measurement across China and Southeast Asia, along with a talented team that complements NIQ’s global scale,” said Rachel White, APAC Regional President at NIQ. “We’re excited to help clients navigate today’s increasingly complex digital commerce landscape with richer insights and stronger decision support.”
Will Lv, General Manager at Flywheel, said the acquisition creates a stronger platform for helping businesses accelerate growth across the region.
“Joining forces with NIQ marks an exciting new chapter for our business and, most importantly, for our clients,” Lv said. “Combining our expertise in digital commerce intelligence with NIQ’s global reach and analytics capabilities will help clients navigate complexity, move faster, and unlock growth.”
The acquired business currently supports more than 100 global and regional clients across China and Southeast Asia, further strengthening NIQ’s position in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital commerce markets.
