SEON has announced the launch of a new fraud prevention app for Shopify, developed in partnership with Domaine. The app brings SEON’s AI-powered fraud detection and risk management capabilities directly into Shopify, enabling merchants to identify fraud, automate decision-making, and manage chargebacks without leaving their existing workflows.

The solution is aimed at growing eCommerce businesses that have outgrown basic fraud protection tools and need greater control as they scale across new markets, payment methods, and sales channels. As transaction volumes increase, merchants often face rising levels of chargeback fraud, return abuse, and other forms of online fraud.

According to SEON, merchants can install the app directly from the Shopify App Store and begin configuring fraud rules within minutes, without requiring developer assistance. The platform analyzes transaction data in real time to identify suspicious activity while helping businesses approve more legitimate customers and reduce false declines.

Key capabilities include:

  • Customizable fraud detection rules
  • Automated approval and rejection workflows
  • Order review and risk management tools within Shopify
  • Chargeback prevention support
  • Integration with existing Shopify technology stacks
  • Enterprise-grade fraud controls without complex implementation

Matt DeLauro, President of Go-To-Market at SEON, said the app was designed to meet the needs of high-growth retailers that require more sophisticated fraud prevention while maintaining conversion rates. He noted that rapid eCommerce expansion has created new opportunities for fraudsters alongside increased revenues.

The app represents the first major product release from the strategic partnership between SEON and Domaine, announced earlier this year. Domaine contributed expertise gained from building Shopify experiences for brands including Timex and Laura Mercier, helping ensure the solution integrates seamlessly into merchants’ existing Shopify operations.

By embedding fraud prevention directly into Shopify workflows, SEON aims to give merchants faster access to enterprise-level fraud protection while minimizing operational complexity and preserving customer experience.
