Lightspeed Commerce Inc. has expanded its partnership with Klaviyo to bring real-time email, SMS, and omnichannel marketing automation directly into the Lightspeed Retail platform, helping merchants strengthen customer engagement and drive repeat business.

The integration enables retailers to automatically sync customer profiles, sales data, product catalogs, order history, and coupons between the two platforms. With real-time data synchronization, merchants can create personalized lifecycle marketing campaigns—including welcome messages, post-purchase communications, and customer re-engagement workflows—without relying on multiple disconnected tools.

“With this partnership, merchants can stop juggling multiple tools and start focusing on growth,” said John Shapiro, Chief Product Officer at Lightspeed. “Lightspeed and Klaviyo provide built-in marketing automation powered by merchants’ own store data, enabling retailers to deliver deeper customer experiences and encourage repeat purchases.”

The integration combines in-store and online customer data, allowing businesses to deliver targeted omnichannel campaigns based on purchasing behavior and customer interactions across sales channels.

Eddie O’Brien, Chief Partner Officer at Klaviyo, said the partnership helps merchants transform customer insights into personalized experiences.

“At Klaviyo, we believe data is the foundation of meaningful customer experiences,” O’Brien said. “This integration gives Lightspeed merchants an integrated way to turn insights into action, helping them engage customers more effectively and grow with confidence.”

The companies said the solution is particularly beneficial for retailers in high-repeat purchase categories such as apparel, footwear, and beauty, where personalized communication and customer retention play a critical role in long-term growth.

The expanded integration is now available to Lightspeed Retail merchants, providing a unified approach to customer relationship management and marketing automation across online and physical retail operations.
