Oversubscribed round co-led by Mudita Ventures and Collide Capital will support product development, broader platform coverage and enterprise growth

GUDEA, an AI-powered narrative intelligence platform that describes itself as the “Storm Tracker for the Internet,” has raised $7 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round co-led by Mudita Ventures and Collide Capital.

The company plans to use the funding to accelerate product development, expand monitoring capabilities across online platforms, and grow its enterprise business as organizations seek better ways to understand and respond to emerging digital narratives.

Tracking the Origins and Spread of Online Narratives

Online conversations can quickly develop into stories that influence consumer perceptions, market sentiment and public trust. However, organizations may struggle to determine how these narratives begin, which accounts are driving them, and how they might evolve.

GUDEA aims to address this challenge by identifying patterns in online activity and distinguishing authentic engagement from potentially inauthentic behavior. The company says its own analyses have found that relatively small groups of users exhibiting inauthentic behavior can generate a disproportionate share of discussion across topics including consumer brands and financial markets.

Combining Behavioral Intelligence With AI

GUDEA combines behavioral intelligence, graph neural network modeling and real-time monitoring across dozens of online platforms to analyze how narratives emerge and spread.

The platform identifies the origins of online conversations, tracks the users contributing to them, and assesses their potential trajectory. It also classifies audiences into five categories to help organizations evaluate emerging risks and better understand the dynamics behind digital engagement.

These capabilities are designed to provide communications, strategy and investor relations teams with earlier insight into developing narratives, supporting more evidence-based decisions.

Expanding Enterprise and Predictive Capabilities

Founded in 2023 by Keith Presley, Jonathan Sperber and James Thomin, GUDEA brings together experience in military intelligence, national security operations and artificial intelligence.

The company says its platform supports Fortune 100 companies and communications firms, and its data has informed reporting by national news outlets. GUDEA was also named a finalist in the 2026 SXSW Pitch competition and a nominee for a 2026 Webby Award.

The new funding will support further investment in predictive modeling, expansion of engineering and go-to-market teams, and broader platform coverage across languages and geographic regions.

Investors See Growing Demand for Narrative Intelligence

Keith Presley, co-founder and CEO of GUDEA, said organizations increasingly need to understand how online narratives develop and influence markets, brands and public trust before they become widely visible.

Buddy Foster, an investor at Mudita Ventures, said GUDEA’s approach to measuring the online information environment addresses an emerging business risk. He also highlighted the team’s intelligence expertise and the platform’s existing work with demanding enterprise clients.

The funding comes as organizations look for ways to assess not only what is being discussed online, but also the behavior and networks shaping those conversations. GUDEA aims to expand its role in this market by combining real-time monitoring with predictive analysis to help enterprises identify potential risks earlier.
