Litera, a provider of Legal AI technology, today announced new AI and growth intelligence capabilities designed to help law firms access institutional knowledge, strengthen client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Announced at ILTACON 2026, the company introduced expanded capabilities for Firm AI Search through Lito, its Legal AI agent, alongside new growth intelligence features within Foundation 365.

AI Search Brings Firm Knowledge Into Legal Workflows

Firm AI Search allows lawyers and knowledge professionals to use natural language to query firm data, including matters, clients and areas of expertise, directly through Lito.

The technology connects information across Foundation, matter management systems and expertise databases through a conversational interface. With Lito Lookups, users can also use @mentions to surface matter, client and people records without leaving their existing workflow.

Firm AI Search is now generally available to Foundation Cloud customers, beginning with firms in the United States.

Turning Relationship Data Into Growth Opportunities

Litera also highlighted new capabilities within Litera GrowthTech, its legal-focused growth technology platform that combines experience data, relationship intelligence, engagement signals and marketing execution.

New capabilities showcased at ILTACON include:

  • Relationship intelligence: Foundation 365 can use email and calendar metadata to identify relationship strength, trends and communication patterns without accessing message content.
  • Proactive Signals with Monetary Value: Business development signals can be combined with historical matter and financial data to help firms prioritize opportunities based on potential revenue.
  • Proactive Cleanse: Continuously identifies changes to contacts, including companies, roles, titles and contact information, helping firms maintain more accurate CRM records.

Foundation serves more than 300 leading law firms, including seven of the eight fastest-growing firms globally and 73 of the 100 most-ranked Chambers firms, according to Litera.

Connecting AI With Institutional Knowledge

Litera said the new capabilities reflect a broader shift among legal organizations from experimenting with AI toward embedding it into everyday workflows.

“The firms that gain an advantage will be those that connect AI to their own institutional knowledge and relationship data,” said Ryan O’Leary, Research Director, Privacy and Legal Technology at IDC.

By combining conversational AI with firm knowledge, relationship intelligence and financial context, Litera aims to help legal professionals not only find information faster but also identify where their firms have the strongest opportunities to deepen client relationships and generate new business.
