2024 Attack Intelligence Report: Key Takeaways

Following on from its annual vulnerability report, Rapid7 has released its new Attack Intelligence Report, a 14-month analysis of attacker behavior based on data collected by Rapid7’s research, managed detection and response (MDR), and threat intelligence teams.

Key findings include:

Second large-scale breach caused by zero-day vulnerability in three years
36% of widely exploited vulnerabilities tracked by Rapid7 are related to network edge technologies
Approximately 5,600 ransomware incidents will be reported between January 2023 and February 2024 (not including unreported incidents)
